Yes, the news is in the title : Squidoo has been acquired by HubPages.
I've just read several posts about that news in my Google+ feed, that's because I have many members of best-reviewer.com in my circles and those people always have enjoyed writing on platforms such as squidoo, hubpages, infobarrel, etc.. That is revenue sharing platforms, same as my own sites.
Some people are upset, because obviously they don't like hubpages. That's because they have had bad experience with them in the past. It was mainly due to Google penalizing those platforms (same as my sites) and those platforms in turn penalizing their members for things which were fine just a week before :-)
Oh well, that happens all the time, that's why I always recommend to invest most of your time in your own web properties, as soon as you have learned enough skills to manage your own web properties.
Have you been affected personally by this news, or is it business as usual for you?
